Las aventuras de Tom Sawyer
Capítulo 1, Página 13
“I
dare
you
to
step
over
that,
and
I’ll
beat
you
until
you
can’t
stand.
Anyone
who
takes
a
dare
will
steal
sheep.”
The
new
boy
stepped
over
quickly,
and
said:
“Now
you
said
you’d
do
it,
let’s
see
you
do
it.”
“Don’t
push
me
now;
you
better
watch
out.”
“Well,
you
said
you’d
do
it—why
don’t
you?”
“For
two
cents,
I
would
do
it.”
The
new
boy
took
two
coins
from
his
pocket
and
held
them
out.
Tom
knocked
them
to
the
ground.
In
an
instant,
both
boys
were
rolling
and
fighting
in
the
dirt,
holding
each
other
like
cats.
For
a
minute,
they
pulled
each
other’s
hair
and
clothes,
punched
and
scratched
each
other’s
noses,
and
covered
themselves
in
dust.
Soon
the
fight
took
shape,
and
through
the
dust,
Tom
sat
on
the
new
boy,
hitting
him
with
his
fists.
“Say
‘enough’!”
he
said.
The
boy
only
tried
to
free
himself.
He
was
crying—mostly
from
anger.
