Las aventuras de Tom Sawyer
Capítulo 26, Página 12
Tom
and
Huck
stood
up,
weak
but
relieved,
and
watched
them
through
the
cracks.
Follow
them?
No.
They
were
happy
to
get
down
safely
and
head
back
to
town.
They
didn't
talk
much.
They
were
too
busy
hating
themselves
for
bringing
the
tools.
If
not
for
that,
Injun
Joe
wouldn't
have
known.
He
would
have
left
the
silver
and
gold
there
until
his
revenge
was
done,
and
then
the
money
would
disappear.
Bad
luck
those
tools
were
ever
there!
They
decided
to
watch
for
the
Spaniard
when
he
came
to
town
for
his
revenge,
and
follow
him
to
"Number
Two,"
wherever
that
was.
Then
a
scary
thought
came
to
Tom.
"Revenge?
What
if
he
means
us,
Huck!"
"Oh,
don't!"
said
Huck,
almost
fainting.
They
talked
about
it
and
agreed
to
hope
he
meant
someone
else—or
at
least
only
Tom,
since
only
Tom
testified.
It
was
little
comfort
for
Tom
to
be
alone
in
danger!
Having
company
would
be
better,
he
thought.
