Las aventuras de Tom Sawyer
Capítulo 26, Página 7
"Now's
our
chance—let's
go!"
Huck
said:
"I
can't—I
would
die
if
they
woke
up."
Tom
tried
to
convince
him—Huck
held
back.
Finally,
Tom
got
up
slowly
and
quietly
and
started
to
leave.
But
his
first
step
made
such
a
loud
creak
on
the
old
floor
that
he
dropped
down
almost
dead
with
fear.
He
didn't
try
again.
The
boys
lay
there,
counting
the
slow
minutes,
thinking
time
must
be
over
and
eternity
starting;
they
were
glad
when
the
sun
finally
set.
Then
one
snore
stopped.
Injun
Joe
sat
up,
looked
around—smiled
grimly
at
his
partner,
whose
head
was
on
his
knees—kicked
him
with
his
foot
and
said:
"Hey!
You're
a
watchman,
aren't
you?
It's
okay,
nothing
happened."
"Oh
no!
Was
I
asleep?"
"A
little,
maybe.
It's
almost
time
to
move,
friend.
What
do
we
do
with
our
little
treasure?"
