Las aventuras de Tom Sawyer
Capítulo 30, Página 1
Early
on
Sunday
morning,
as
the
first
light
appeared,
Huck
walked
up
the
hill
and
knocked
gently
at
the
old
Welshman’s
door.
Everyone
inside
was
asleep,
but
they
were
ready
to
wake
up
because
of
the
exciting
night.
A
voice
called
from
a
window:
“Who’s
there!”
Huck’s
scared
voice
replied
softly:
“Please
let
me
in!
It’s
only
Huck
Finn!”
“That
name
can
open
this
door
anytime,
lad!
Welcome!”
These
words
were
strange
to
Huck,
and
they
were
the
nicest
he
had
ever
heard.
He
couldn’t
remember
anyone
ever
saying
"welcome"
to
him
before.
The
door
was
quickly
unlocked,
and
he
came
in.
Huck
sat
down,
and
the
old
man
and
his
two
tall
sons
dressed
quickly.
“Now,
my
boy,
I
hope
you’re
hungry.
Breakfast
will
be
ready
when
the
sun
is
up,
and
it
will
be
hot.
Don’t
worry
about
that!
We
hoped
you’d
come
and
stay
last
night.”
“I
was
really
scared,”
said
Huck,
“and
I
ran
away.
I
left
when
the
guns
went
off,
and
I
didn’t
stop
for
three
miles.
I
came
now
because
I
wanted
to
know
what
happened,
and
I
came
before
daylight
because
I
didn’t
want
to
meet
those
bad
men,
even
if
they
were
dead.”
