Las aventuras de Tom Sawyer
Capítulo 6, Página 20
"No,
I
won’t
tell
anyone.
Now
let
me
see."
"Oh,
you
don’t
want
to
see!"
"Now
that
you
say
that,
I
do
want
to
see."
She
put
her
hand
on
his,
and
they
played
a
little
game.
Tom
pretended
to
resist
but
slowly
let
her
see
the
words:
"I
love
you."
"Oh,
you
bad
thing!"
She
hit
his
hand
but
turned
red
and
looked
happy.
Just
then,
Tom
felt
a
slow,
strong
grip
on
his
ear,
and
he
was
lifted
up.
He
was
taken
across
the
room
and
put
in
his
seat
while
the
whole
class
giggled.
The
teacher
stood
over
him
for
a
moment,
then
went
back
to
his
place
without
saying
a
word.
Tom’s
ear
hurt,
but
he
felt
happy
inside.
As
the
class
got
quiet,
Tom
tried
to
study,
but
he
was
too
excited.
He
went
to
the
reading
class
but
messed
it
up;
then
in
geography,
he
mixed
up
lakes
and
mountains,
rivers
and
continents,
until
everything
was
wrong;
then
in
spelling,
he
got
simple
words
wrong
and
ended
up
at
the
bottom,
losing
the
medal
he
had
worn
proudly
for
months.
