Las aventuras de Tom Sawyer
Capítulo 28, Página 4
“I
agree.
I’ll
watch
all
night,
every
night,
if
you
do
the
other
part.”
“All
right,
I
will.
All
you
need
to
do
is
walk
up
Hooper
Street
a
block
and
make
a
cat
noise.
If
I’m
asleep,
throw
some
gravel
at
my
window
to
wake
me.”
“Agreed,
as
good
as
gold!”
“Huck,
the
storm’s
over,
and
I’ll
go
home.
It’ll
be
daylight
in
a
couple
of
hours.
Will
you
watch
that
long?”
“I
said
I
would,
Tom,
and
I
will.
I’ll
haunt
that
tavern
every
night
for
a
year!
I’ll
sleep
all
day
and
watch
all
night.”
“That’s
fine.
Now,
where
will
you
sleep?”
“In
Ben
Rogers’
hayloft.
He
lets
me,
and
so
does
his
dad’s
man,
Uncle
Jake.
I
carry
water
for
Uncle
Jake
when
he
needs
it,
and
he
gives
me
something
to
eat
if
he
can
spare
it.
He’s
a
good
man,
Tom.
He
likes
me
because
I
don’t
act
like
I’m
better
than
him.
Sometimes
I
sit
down
and
eat
with
him.
But
don’t
tell
anyone.
When
you’re
really
hungry,
you
do
things
you
wouldn’t
usually
do.”
“Well,
if
I
don’t
need
you
in
the
day,
I’ll
let
you
sleep.
I
won’t
bother
you.
Anytime
you
see
something’s
happening
at
night,
just
come
and
make
the
cat
noise.”
