Las aventuras de Tom Sawyer
Capítulo 30, Página 7
"Don't
mention
it,
madam.
There's
someone
else
you
owe
more
thanks
to
than
me
and
my
boys,
but
he
doesn't
want
me
to
say
his
name.
We
wouldn't
have
been
there
without
him."
This
made
everyone
very
curious,
almost
forgetting
the
main
event,
but
the
Welshman
let
the
curiosity
grow.
He
didn't
share
his
secret,
and
it
spread
through
the
town.
When
everything
else
was
known,
the
widow
asked:
"I
went
to
sleep
reading
in
bed
and
slept
through
all
that
noise.
Why
didn't
you
wake
me?"
"We
thought
it
wasn't
worth
it.
Those
guys
weren't
likely
to
come
back—they
had
no
tools
left
to
work
with,
and
what
was
the
point
of
waking
you
and
scaring
you?
My
three
men
stood
guard
at
your
house
for
the
rest
of
the
night.
They
just
returned."
More
visitors
came,
and
the
story
had
to
be
told
over
and
over
for
a
couple
of
hours.
There
was
no
Sunday
school
during
the
school
vacation,
but
everyone
went
to
church
early.
The
exciting
event
was
widely
discussed.
News
came
that
there
was
no
sign
of
the
two
villains
yet.
When
the
sermon
was
over,
Judge
Thatcher's
wife
walked
beside
Mrs.
Harper
as
they
moved
down
the
aisle
with
the
crowd
and
said:
"Is
my
Becky
going
to
sleep
all
day?
I
thought
she
would
be
exhausted."
"Your
Becky?"
