Las aventuras de Tom Sawyer
Capítulo 4, Página 4
So
he
put
on
the
shoes,
grumbling.
Mary
was
soon
ready,
and
the
three
children
set
off
for
Sunday-school—a
place
Tom
hated,
but
Sid
and
Mary
liked.
Sunday-school
was
from
nine
to
half-past
ten,
followed
by
church
service.
Two
of
the
children
stayed
for
the
sermon
willingly,
and
the
other
stayed
for
other
reasons.
The
church
had
simple,
hard
benches
for
about
three
hundred
people.
It
was
a
small,
plain
building
with
a
wooden
steeple.
At
the
door,
Tom
stepped
back
and
spoke
to
a
friend:
“Say,
Billy,
got
a
yellow
ticket?”
“Yes.”
“What’ll
you
take
for
it?”
“What’ll
you
give?”
“Piece
of
licorice
and
a
fish-hook.”
“Let’s
see
them.”
