Las aventuras de Tom Sawyer
Capítulo 17, Página 3
And
they
did.
Old
Hundred
rose
with
a
triumphant
burst,
and
as
it
shook
the
rafters,
Tom
Sawyer
the
Pirate
looked
around
at
the
envious
children
and
admitted
to
himself
that
this
was
the
proudest
moment
of
his
life.
As
the
“fooled”
congregation
left,
they
said
they’d
almost
be
willing
to
be
made
ridiculous
again
just
to
hear
Old
Hundred
sung
like
that
once
more.
Tom
received
more
slaps
and
kisses
that
day—depending
on
Aunt
Polly’s
changing
moods—than
he
had
earned
in
a
year;
and
he
could
hardly
tell
which
showed
more
gratitude
to
God
and
affection
for
himself.
