Las aventuras de Tom Sawyer
Capítulo 25, Página 2
"Don't
they
ever
come
back
for
it?"
"No,
they
think
they
will,
but
they
usually
forget
the
signs,
or
they
die.
Anyway,
it
stays
there
a
long
time
and
gets
rusty;
eventually,
someone
finds
an
old
yellow
paper
that
explains
how
to
find
the
signs—a
paper
you
have
to
figure
out
because
it's
mostly
symbols
and
hieroglyphics."
"Hieroglyphics—what's
that?"
"Hieroglyphics—pictures
and
symbols
that
don't
seem
to
mean
anything."
"Do
you
have
one
of
those
papers,
Tom?"
"No."
"Then
how
are
you
going
to
find
the
signs?"
"I
don't
need
any
signs.
They
always
bury
it
under
a
haunted
house
or
on
an
island,
or
under
a
dead
tree
with
one
limb
sticking
out.
We've
tried
Jackson's
Island
a
bit,
and
we
can
try
again;
there's
the
old
haunted
house
up
the
Still-House
branch,
and
lots
of
dead-limb
trees—tons
of
them."
