El Gran Gatsby
Capítulo 1, Página 2
I
needed
a
place
to
live.
It
was
warm,
and
I
missed
the
country.
A
friend
at
work
said
we
could
share
a
house.
He
found
a
house,
but
then
he
had
to
go
to
Washington.
So,
I
lived
there
alone.
I
had
a
dog
for
a
few
days,
an
old
car,
and
a
Finnish
woman
who
cooked
for
me.
I
felt
lonely
for
a
day.
Then
a
man
stopped
me
on
the
road.
"How
do
you
get
to
West
Egg
village?"
he
asked.
I
told
him.
After
that,
I
did
not
feel
lonely.
I
felt
like
I
belonged.
The
sun
was
bright,
and
the
leaves
grew
fast.
It
felt
like
life
was
starting
again
with
the
summer.
I
had
many
books
to
read.
I
bought
books
about
banking
and
money.
They
were
new
and
shiny.
I
wanted
to
read
many
books.
I
liked
reading
in
college
and
wrote
for
the
school
paper.
I
wanted
to
be
a
"well-rounded
man."
