El Gran Gatsby
Capítulo 2, Página 3
“No,
he
doesn’t,”
said
Tom
coldly.
“If
you
feel
that
way,
maybe
I’ll
sell
it
somewhere
else.”
“I
don’t
mean
that,”
Wilson
said
quickly.
“I
just
meant—”
His
voice
trailed
off.
Tom
looked
around
the
garage.
Then
I
heard
footsteps,
and
a
woman
blocked
the
light
from
the
office
door.
She
was
in
her
thirties
and
a
little
heavy,
but
she
carried
herself
well.
She
wore
a
blue
dress
and
had
no
real
beauty,
but
she
seemed
very
alive.
She
smiled
slowly,
walked
past
her
husband
like
he
was
not
there,
and
shook
hands
with
Tom,
looking
him
in
the
eye.
Then
she
wet
her
lips
and
spoke
to
her
husband
in
a
soft,
rough
voice:
“Get
some
chairs,
why
don’t
you,
so
people
can
sit
down.”
“Oh,
sure,”
said
Wilson
quickly.
He
went
to
the
office,
blending
in
with
the
walls.
Dust
covered
his
dark
suit
and
pale
hair,
but
his
wife
moved
closer
to
Tom.
“I
want
to
see
you,”
said
Tom
seriously.
“Get
on
the
next
train.”
