El Gran Gatsby
Capítulo 4, Página 4
Then
came
the
strange
ride.
Before
we
reached
West
Egg
village,
Gatsby
started
leaving
sentences
unfinished
and
slapped
his
knee
nervously.
“Look
here,
old
sport,”
he
suddenly
said,
“what
do
you
think
of
me?”
I
was
a
bit
surprised
and
started
to
say
general
things.
“I’ll
tell
you
about
my
life,”
he
interrupted.
“I
don’t
want
you
to
believe
those
stories
you
hear.”
He
knew
about
the
strange
stories
people
told
about
him.
“I’ll
tell
you
the
truth.”
He
raised
his
hand.
“I
am
the
son
of
rich
people
from
the
Middle
West—all
dead
now.
I
grew
up
in
America
but
studied
at
Oxford
because
my
family
has
done
so
for
years.
It
is
a
tradition.”
