El Gran Gatsby
Capítulo 4, Página 3
“Good
morning,
old
sport.
You’re
having
lunch
with
me
today,
and
we’ll
ride
up
together.”
He
balanced
on
his
car’s
dashboard.
His
movements
were
very
American,
maybe
because
he
didn’t
do
heavy
work
when
he
was
young.
He
was
always
restless,
tapping
his
foot
or
moving
his
hands.
He
saw
me
looking
at
his
car
with
admiration.
“It’s
pretty,
isn’t
it,
old
sport?”
He
jumped
off
to
give
me
a
better
look.
“Haven’t
you
seen
it
before?”
I
had
seen
it.
Everyone
had.
It
was
cream-colored,
shiny
with
nickel,
and
had
many
boxes.
The
windshields
reflected
the
sun.
We
sat
behind
the
glass
in
green
leather
and
drove
to
town.
I
had
talked
with
him
a
few
times
last
month
but
found
he
didn’t
say
much.
My
first
impression
of
him
as
an
important
person
faded.
He
was
just
the
owner
of
a
big
house
next
door.
