El Gran Gatsby
Capítulo 5, Página 20
After
a
moment,
he
showed
us
two
big
cabinets.
They
had
suits,
dressing
gowns,
and
ties.
His
shirts
were
piled
high
like
bricks.
“I
have
a
man
in
England
who
buys
my
clothes.
He
sends
them
every
spring
and
fall.”
He
took
out
shirts
and
threw
them
one
by
one.
They
were
linen,
silk,
and
flannel.
They
fell
and
covered
the
table
in
colors.
We
admired
them
as
he
brought
more.
There
were
shirts
with
stripes
and
patterns
in
many
colors.
Suddenly,
Daisy
bent
her
head
into
the
shirts
and
cried.
“They’re
such
beautiful
shirts,”
she
sobbed.
“It
makes
me
sad
because
I’ve
never
seen
such
beautiful
shirts
before.”
After
the
house,
we
were
to
see
the
grounds,
the
pool,
and
the
flowers,
but
it
started
to
rain
again.
We
stood
by
the
window
looking
at
the
water.
“If
it
wasn’t
for
the
mist,
we
could
see
your
home
across
the
bay,”
said
Gatsby.
“You
always
have
a
green
light
at
the
end
of
your
dock.”
