El Gran Gatsby
Capítulo 7, Página 29
“We
can’t
argue
here,”
Tom
said
impatiently,
as
a
truck
honked
behind
us.
“Follow
me
to
the
south
side
of
Central
Park,
in
front
of
the
Plaza.”
He
looked
back
for
their
car
several
times.
If
traffic
slowed
them,
he
slowed
down
too.
I
think
he
was
afraid
they
would
leave
and
never
come
back.
But
they
didn’t
leave.
We
all
went
to
a
room
in
the
Plaza
Hotel.
I
don’t
remember
how
we
ended
up
in
that
room,
but
I
remember
my
clothes
sticking
to
me
because
of
the
sweat.
Daisy
suggested
we
get
five
bathrooms
for
cold
baths,
and
then
we
decided
on
a
place
to
have
a
mint
julep.
We
all
said
it
was
a
“crazy
idea”
and
talked
to
a
confused
clerk,
thinking
we
were
funny.
The
room
was
big
and
hot.
It
was
four
o’clock,
but
opening
the
windows
only
let
in
hot
air
from
the
Park.
Daisy
went
to
the
mirror
to
fix
her
hair.
“It’s
a
nice
suite,”
whispered
Jordan,
and
everyone
laughed.
