El Gran Gatsby
Capítulo 7, Página 61
Someone
driving
behind
us
confirmed
this,
and
the
policeman
turned
away.
"Now,
if
you’ll
give
me
that
name
again
correctly—"
Tom
picked
up
Wilson
like
a
doll,
carried
him
into
the
office,
set
him
in
a
chair,
and
came
back.
"If
someone
will
sit
with
him,"
he
said
firmly.
He
watched
as
two
men
looked
at
each
other
and
went
into
the
room.
Then
Tom
shut
the
door
and
came
down
the
step,
avoiding
the
table.
As
he
passed
me,
he
whispered:
"Let's
get
out."
With
Tom
leading
the
way,
we
pushed
through
the
crowd,
passing
a
doctor
with
a
case
who
had
been
called
half
an
hour
ago.
Tom
drove
slowly
until
we
were
past
the
bend—then
he
sped
up,
and
the
coupé
raced
through
the
night.
Soon,
I
heard
a
low
sob
and
saw
tears
on
his
face.
