El Gran Gatsby
Capítulo 7, Página 62
"The
coward!"
he
cried.
"He
didn't
even
stop
his
car."
The
Buchanans’
house
appeared
through
the
dark
trees.
Tom
stopped
by
the
porch
and
looked
up
at
the
second
floor,
where
two
windows
were
lit
among
the
vines.
"Daisy's
home,"
he
said.
As
we
got
out,
he
glanced
at
me
and
frowned.
"I
should
have
left
you
in
West
Egg,
Nick.
There's
nothing
we
can
do
tonight."
He
seemed
different
now,
speaking
seriously.
As
we
walked
across
the
gravel
to
the
porch,
he
summed
up
the
situation
quickly.
"I'll
call
a
taxi
to
take
you
home,
and
while
you
wait,
you
and
Jordan
can
go
to
the
kitchen
for
some
supper—if
you
want."
He
opened
the
door.
"Come
in."
