El Maravilloso Mago de Oz
Capítulo 15, Página 13
"I
feared
the
Witches.
I
had
no
magic,
but
I
learned
the
Witches
had
real
power.
There
were
four
Witches.
They
ruled
the
North,
South,
East,
and
West.
The
North
and
South
Witches
were
good.
They
would
not
harm
me.
But
the
East
and
West
Witches
were
very
bad.
If
they
did
not
think
I
was
stronger,
they
would
have
destroyed
me.
I
feared
them
for
many
years.
So
you
can
see
how
happy
I
was
when
your
house
fell
on
the
Wicked
Witch
of
the
East.
When
you
came,
I
promised
anything
if
you
would
get
rid
of
the
other
Witch.
Now
that
you
have
melted
her,
I
am
sorry
I
cannot
keep
my
promises."
"I
think
you
are
a
very
bad
man,"
said
Dorothy.
"Oh,
no,
my
dear.
I
am
a
good
man,
but
a
bad
Wizard,
I
must
say."
"Can’t
you
give
me
brains?"
asked
the
Scarecrow.
"You
do
not
need
them.
You
learn
something
every
day.
A
baby
has
brains,
but
it
does
not
know
much.
Only
experience
brings
knowledge.
The
longer
you
live,
the
more
experience
you
get."
"That
may
be
true,"
said
the
Scarecrow,
"but
I
will
be
unhappy
unless
you
give
me
brains."
