El Maravilloso Mago de Oz
Capítulo 13, Página 3
“If
we
only
had
the
Scarecrow
with
us,”
said
the
Tin
Woodman
after
Dorothy
told
him
everything,
“I
would
be
very
happy.”
“We
must
try
to
find
him,”
said
Dorothy.
She
called
the
Winkies
to
help,
and
they
walked
all
day
and
part
of
the
next
until
they
reached
a
tall
tree.
The
Winged
Monkeys
had
thrown
the
Scarecrow’s
clothes
into
its
branches.
The
tree
was
very
tall,
and
no
one
could
climb
it.
The
Woodman
said,
“I’ll
chop
it
down,
and
then
we
can
get
the
Scarecrow’s
clothes.”
While
the
tinsmiths
fixed
the
Woodman,
a
goldsmith
made
a
new
axe
handle
of
solid
gold.
Others
polished
the
blade
until
it
shone
like
silver.
The
Tin
Woodman
began
to
chop,
and
soon
the
tree
fell
with
a
crash.
The
Scarecrow’s
clothes
fell
from
the
branches
and
rolled
on
the
ground.
