El Maravilloso Mago de Oz
Capítulo 13, Página 2
The
Winkies
gently
lifted
the
Tin
Woodman
and
carried
him
back
to
the
Yellow
Castle.
Dorothy
cried
a
little
for
her
old
friend,
and
the
Lion
looked
sad.
When
they
reached
the
castle,
Dorothy
asked
the
Winkies:
“Are
any
of
you
tinsmiths?”
“Oh,
yes.
Some
of
us
are
good
tinsmiths,”
they
replied.
“Then
bring
them
to
me,”
she
said.
When
the
tinsmiths
came
with
their
tools,
she
asked,
“Can
you
fix
the
Tin
Woodman
and
make
him
like
before?”
The
tinsmiths
looked
at
the
Woodman
carefully
and
said
they
could
fix
him.
They
worked
in
a
big
yellow
room
for
three
days
and
four
nights.
They
hammered,
twisted,
bent,
soldered,
polished,
and
pounded
the
Tin
Woodman
until
he
was
straight
again.
His
joints
worked
well.
He
had
some
patches,
but
he
did
not
mind
them.
Finally,
the
Tin
Woodman
walked
into
Dorothy’s
room
and
thanked
her
for
saving
him.
He
was
so
happy
that
he
cried
tears
of
joy.
Dorothy
wiped
the
tears
from
his
face
with
her
apron
so
they
wouldn’t
rust
his
joints.
Her
own
tears
fell
too,
but
they
didn’t
need
to
be
wiped
away.
The
Lion
wiped
his
eyes
with
his
tail
until
it
was
wet.
He
had
to
go
outside
to
dry
it
in
the
sun.
