El Maravilloso Mago de Oz
Capítulo 15, Página 13
"One
of
my
greatest
fears
was
the
Witches.
I
had
no
magical
powers,
but
I
found
out
the
Witches
could
do
wonderful
things.
There
were
four
in
this
country,
and
they
ruled
the
North,
South,
East,
and
West.
Luckily,
the
Witches
of
the
North
and
South
were
good,
and
I
knew
they
would
not
harm
me.
But
the
Witches
of
the
East
and
West
were
very
wicked.
If
they
didn't
think
I
was
more
powerful,
they
would
have
destroyed
me.
I
lived
in
fear
of
them
for
many
years.
So
you
can
imagine
how
happy
I
was
when
I
heard
your
house
fell
on
the
Wicked
Witch
of
the
East.
When
you
came
to
me,
I
promised
anything
if
you
would
get
rid
of
the
other
Witch.
Now
that
you
have
melted
her,
I
am
ashamed
to
say
I
cannot
keep
my
promises."
"I
think
you
are
a
very
bad
man,"
said
Dorothy.
"Oh,
no,
my
dear.
I
am
a
very
good
man,
but
a
very
bad
Wizard,
I
must
admit."
"Can't
you
give
me
brains?"
asked
the
Scarecrow.
"You
don't
need
them.
You
learn
something
every
day.
A
baby
has
brains
but
doesn't
know
much.
Only
experience
brings
knowledge,
and
the
longer
you
live,
the
more
you
learn."
"That
may
be
true,"
said
the
Scarecrow,
"but
I
will
be
very
unhappy
unless
you
give
me
brains."
