El Maravilloso Mago de Oz
Capítulo 17, Página 2
“How
can
I
cross
the
desert?”
she
asked.
“I’ll
tell
you
what
I
think,”
said
Oz.
“I
came
here
in
a
balloon.
You
came
through
the
air
in
a
cyclone.
So,
I
think
the
best
way
across
the
desert
is
through
the
air.
I
can’t
make
a
cyclone,
but
I
think
I
can
make
a
balloon.”
“How?”
asked
Dorothy.
“A
balloon,”
said
Oz,
“is
made
of
silk
with
glue
to
keep
the
gas
in.
I
have
a
lot
of
silk
in
the
Palace,
so
making
the
balloon
is
easy.
But
there
is
no
gas
here
to
fill
it.”
“If
it
won’t
float,”
said
Dorothy,
“it
won’t
help
us.”
“True,”
answered
Oz.
“But
we
can
fill
it
with
hot
air.
Hot
air
isn’t
as
good
as
gas.
If
it
gets
cold,
the
balloon
will
come
down
in
the
desert,
and
we
will
be
lost.”
