El Maravilloso Mago de Oz
Capítulo 21, Página 2
They
walked
through
the
forest
until
it
was
too
dark
to
go
on.
Dorothy,
Toto,
and
the
Lion
lay
down
to
sleep.
The
Woodman
and
the
Scarecrow
watched
over
them
as
usual.
When
morning
came,
they
started
again.
Soon,
they
heard
a
low
rumble
like
many
wild
animals
growling.
Toto
whimpered
a
little,
but
the
others
were
not
scared.
They
followed
the
path
until
they
saw
an
open
space
in
the
woods.
There
were
hundreds
of
animals
of
all
kinds:
tigers,
elephants,
bears,
wolves,
and
foxes.
For
a
moment,
Dorothy
was
afraid.
But
the
Lion
said
the
animals
were
having
a
meeting.
He
thought
they
were
in
big
trouble
because
of
the
noise.
As
he
spoke,
some
animals
saw
him,
and
the
noise
stopped
suddenly.
The
biggest
tiger
came
to
the
Lion
and
bowed,
saying:
“Welcome,
O
King
of
Beasts!
You
have
come
at
the
right
time
to
fight
our
enemy
and
bring
peace
to
us
again.”
“What
is
your
problem?”
asked
the
Lion
quietly.
“We
are
all
in
danger,”
said
the
tiger.
“A
fierce
enemy
is
here
in
the
forest.
It
is
a
huge
monster,
like
a
giant
spider.
Its
body
is
as
big
as
an
elephant,
and
its
legs
are
as
long
as
tree
trunks.
It
has
eight
legs,
and
it
catches
animals
with
them.
Then
it
eats
them
like
a
spider
eats
a
fly.
None
of
us
is
safe
while
this
creature
lives.
We
called
a
meeting
to
find
a
way
to
protect
ourselves
when
you
arrived.”
