El Maravilloso Mago de Oz
Capítulo 6, Página 8
So
the
group
continued
on
their
journey,
the
Lion
walking
proudly
next
to
Dorothy.
At
first,
Toto
didn’t
like
the
Lion
because
he
remembered
the
danger.
But
soon,
Toto
and
the
Lion
became
good
friends.
The
rest
of
the
day
was
peaceful.
Once,
the
Tin
Woodman
stepped
on
a
beetle
and
killed
it.
He
felt
very
sad
because
he
didn’t
want
to
hurt
anything.
Tears
ran
down
his
face
and
rusted
his
jaw.
Dorothy
asked
him
a
question,
but
he
couldn’t
speak.
He
was
scared
and
made
signs
to
Dorothy.
She
didn’t
understand,
and
the
Lion
was
puzzled.
But
the
Scarecrow
took
the
oil-can
from
Dorothy’s
basket
and
oiled
the
Woodman’s
jaw.
Soon,
he
could
talk
again.
“This
teaches
me
to
watch
where
I
step,”
he
said.
“If
I
kill
another
bug,
I
will
cry
again,
and
my
jaw
will
rust.”
After
that,
he
walked
carefully,
looking
at
the
road.
If
he
saw
a
small
ant,
he
stepped
over
it.
The
Tin
Woodman
knew
he
had
no
heart,
so
he
tried
not
to
be
unkind.
“People
with
hearts
have
something
to
guide
them
and
don’t
do
wrong,”
he
said.
“But
I
have
no
heart,
so
I
must
be
careful.
When
Oz
gives
me
a
heart,
I
won’t
worry
so
much.”
