El Maravilloso Mago de Oz
Capítulo 7, Página 1
They
had
to
camp
under
a
big
tree
that
night.
There
were
no
houses
nearby.
The
tree
kept
them
dry
from
the
dew.
The
Tin
Woodman
cut
a
lot
of
wood,
and
Dorothy
made
a
nice
fire.
It
warmed
her,
and
she
felt
less
lonely.
She
and
Toto
ate
the
last
of
their
bread.
Now,
she
worried
about
breakfast.
“If
you
want,”
said
the
Lion,
“I
will
go
into
the
forest
and
catch
a
deer
for
you.
You
can
cook
it
by
the
fire,
and
then
you
will
have
a
good
breakfast.”
“Don’t!
Please
don’t,”
begged
the
Tin
Woodman.
“I
will
cry
if
you
kill
a
deer,
and
my
jaws
will
rust
again.”
The
Lion
went
into
the
forest
and
found
his
own
dinner.
He
never
said
what
it
was.
The
Scarecrow
found
a
tree
full
of
nuts.
He
filled
Dorothy’s
basket
with
them,
so
she
would
not
be
hungry.
She
thought
this
was
very
kind.
She
laughed
at
how
the
Scarecrow
picked
up
the
nuts.
His
hands
were
clumsy,
and
he
dropped
many
nuts.
But
he
did
not
mind.
He
stayed
away
from
the
fire
because
he
feared
it
might
burn
him.
He
came
close
only
to
cover
Dorothy
with
dry
leaves
when
she
slept.
She
stayed
warm
and
slept
well.
When
it
was
morning,
Dorothy
washed
her
face
in
a
small
brook.
Soon
after,
they
all
started
to
walk
to
the
Emerald
City.
This
day
was
important
for
them.
They
walked
for
an
hour
and
saw
a
big
ditch.
It
crossed
the
road
and
divided
the
forest.
It
was
wide
and
deep
with
sharp
rocks
at
the
bottom.
The
sides
were
steep,
and
they
could
not
climb
down.
It
seemed
their
journey
might
end.
