Tin
Woodman

cut
it
down,
we
can
walk
across
it.”

great
idea,”
said
the
Lion.
“You
must
have
brains
in
your
head.”
The
Woodman
started
to
chop
the
tree.
His
axe
was
sharp,
and
soon
the
tree
was
almost
cut
through.
The
Lion
pushed
the
tree,
and
it
fell
across
the
ditch.
They
began
to
cross
the
tree
when
they
heard
a
growl.
They
saw
two
big
beasts
running
toward
them.
“They
are
the
Kalidahs!”
said
the
Cowardly
Lion,
shaking.
“Quick!”
shouted
the
Scarecrow.
“Let’s
cross
over.”
