El Maravilloso Mago de Oz
Capítulo 10, Página 8
As
they
walked,
the
green
glow
grew
brighter,
and
it
seemed
they
were
nearing
the
end
of
their
journey.
But
it
was
afternoon
before
they
reached
the
great
wall
surrounding
the
City.
It
was
high,
thick,
and
bright
green.
In
front
of
them,
at
the
end
of
the
yellow
brick
road,
was
a
big
gate
covered
with
emeralds.
They
shone
so
brightly
in
the
sun
that
even
the
Scarecrow's
painted
eyes
were
dazzled.
There
was
a
bell
beside
the
gate.
Dorothy
pushed
the
button
and
heard
a
silvery
tinkle.
The
big
gate
swung
open
slowly,
and
they
all
went
through,
finding
themselves
in
a
high
arched
room
with
walls
glistening
with
countless
emeralds.
Before
them
stood
a
little
man,
about
the
size
of
the
Munchkins.
He
was
dressed
all
in
green,
and
even
his
skin
had
a
greenish
tint.
At
his
side
was
a
large
green
box.
When
he
saw
Dorothy
and
her
friends,
he
asked,
"What
do
you
want
in
the
Emerald
City?"
"We
came
here
to
see
the
Great
Oz,"
said
Dorothy.
