El Maravilloso Mago de Oz
Capítulo 12, Página 14
“I’m
very
sorry,”
said
Dorothy,
truly
scared
to
see
the
Witch
melting
like
sugar
right
before
her
eyes.
“Didn’t
you
know
water
would
be
the
end
of
me?”
asked
the
Witch,
in
a
sad,
desperate
voice.
“Of
course
not,”
said
Dorothy.
“How
could
I
know?”
“Well,
soon
I
will
be
all
melted,
and
you
will
have
the
castle
to
yourself.
I
was
wicked,
but
I
never
thought
a
little
girl
like
you
could
melt
me
and
stop
my
evil
deeds.
Watch
out—here
I
go!”
With
these
words,
the
Witch
fell
down
into
a
brown,
melted,
shapeless
mass
and
spread
over
the
kitchen
floor.
Seeing
she
had
really
melted
away,
Dorothy
got
another
bucket
of
water
and
threw
it
over
the
mess.
She
swept
it
out
the
door.
She
picked
up
the
silver
shoe,
the
only
thing
left
of
the
old
woman,
cleaned
it,
and
put
it
on
her
foot
again.
Free
at
last,
she
ran
to
the
courtyard
to
tell
the
Lion
that
the
Wicked
Witch
of
the
West
was
gone
and
they
were
no
longer
prisoners
in
a
strange
land.
