El Maravilloso Mago de Oz
Capítulo 13, Página 1
The
Cowardly
Lion
was
very
happy
to
hear
that
the
Wicked
Witch
had
been
melted
by
a
bucket
of
water.
Dorothy
quickly
unlocked
the
gate
of
his
prison
and
set
him
free.
They
went
into
the
castle
together,
and
Dorothy's
first
action
was
to
gather
all
the
Winkies
and
tell
them
they
were
no
longer
slaves.
The
yellow
Winkies
were
overjoyed
because
they
had
been
forced
to
work
hard
for
many
years
by
the
Wicked
Witch,
who
always
treated
them
cruelly.
They
celebrated
this
day
as
a
holiday
from
then
on,
spending
their
time
feasting
and
dancing.
"If
only
our
friends,
the
Scarecrow
and
the
Tin
Woodman,
were
here
with
us,"
said
the
Lion,
"I
would
be
completely
happy."
"Do
you
think
we
could
rescue
them?"
Dorothy
asked
anxiously.
"We
can
try,"
the
Lion
replied.
So
they
asked
the
yellow
Winkies
if
they
would
help
rescue
their
friends.
The
Winkies
said
they
would
be
delighted
to
help
Dorothy,
who
had
freed
them
from
slavery.
Dorothy
chose
some
Winkies
who
seemed
to
know
the
most,
and
they
all
set
off.
They
traveled
that
day
and
part
of
the
next
until
they
reached
the
rocky
plain
where
the
Tin
Woodman
lay,
all
battered
and
bent.
His
axe
was
nearby,
but
the
blade
was
rusty
and
the
handle
was
broken.
