El Maravilloso Mago de Oz
Capítulo 15, Página 13
"One
of
my
greatest
fears
was
the
Witches
because,
while
I
had
no
magic
powers,
I
soon
found
out
the
Witches
could
do
wonderful
things.
There
were
four
in
this
country,
ruling
the
people
in
the
North,
South,
East,
and
West.
Luckily,
the
Witches
of
the
North
and
South
were
good,
and
I
knew
they
wouldn't
harm
me.
But
the
Witches
of
the
East
and
West
were
terribly
wicked,
and
if
they
didn't
think
I
was
more
powerful,
they
would
have
destroyed
me.
I
lived
in
fear
of
them
for
many
years,
so
you
can
imagine
how
happy
I
was
when
I
heard
your
house
fell
on
the
Wicked
Witch
of
the
East.
When
you
came
to
me,
I
promised
anything
if
you
would
get
rid
of
the
other
Witch.
Now
that
you've
melted
her,
I
am
ashamed
to
say
I
cannot
keep
my
promises."
"I
think
you
are
a
very
bad
man,"
said
Dorothy.
"Oh
no,
my
dear;
I'm
really
a
good
man,
but
I'm
a
very
bad
Wizard,
I
admit."
"Can't
you
give
me
brains?"
asked
the
Scarecrow.
"You
don't
need
them.
You
are
learning
something
every
day.
A
baby
has
brains
but
doesn't
know
much.
Experience
brings
knowledge,
and
the
longer
you
live,
the
more
experience
you
get."
"That
may
be
true,"
said
the
Scarecrow,
"but
I
will
be
unhappy
unless
you
give
me
brains."
