El Maravilloso Mago de Oz
Capítulo 2, Página 10
"No,
I
cannot
do
that,"
she
replied,
"but
I
will
give
you
my
kiss,
and
no
one
will
dare
to
harm
someone
who
has
been
kissed
by
the
Witch
of
the
North."
She
came
close
to
Dorothy
and
kissed
her
gently
on
the
forehead.
Where
her
lips
touched,
they
left
a
round,
shining
mark,
which
Dorothy
noticed
soon
after.
"The
road
to
the
City
of
Emeralds
is
paved
with
yellow
brick,"
said
the
Witch,
"so
you
cannot
miss
it.
When
you
meet
Oz,
do
not
be
afraid
of
him.
Tell
him
your
story
and
ask
for
his
help.
Goodbye,
my
dear."
The
three
Munchkins
bowed
low
to
her
and
wished
her
a
pleasant
journey,
then
they
walked
away
through
the
trees.
The
Witch
gave
Dorothy
a
friendly
nod,
spun
around
on
her
left
heel
three
times,
and
disappeared.
This
surprised
little
Toto,
who
barked
loudly
after
she
was
gone,
because
he
had
been
too
scared
to
make
a
sound
while
she
was
there.
But
Dorothy,
knowing
she
was
a
witch,
had
expected
her
to
disappear
like
that,
so
she
was
not
surprised
at
all.
