El Maravilloso Mago de Oz
Capítulo 20, Página 1
While
the
Woodman
was
making
a
ladder
from
some
wood
he
found
in
the
forest,
Dorothy
lay
down
and
slept
because
she
was
tired
from
the
long
walk.
The
Lion
also
curled
up
to
sleep,
and
Toto
lay
beside
him.
The
Scarecrow
watched
the
Woodman
as
he
worked
and
said
to
him:
“I
can’t
understand
why
this
wall
is
here
or
what
it’s
made
of.”
“Don’t
worry
about
the
wall,”
replied
the
Woodman.
“When
we
climb
over
it,
we’ll
see
what’s
on
the
other
side.”
After
some
time,
the
ladder
was
finished.
It
looked
a
bit
clumsy,
but
the
Tin
Woodman
was
sure
it
was
strong
enough
for
them.
The
Scarecrow
woke
Dorothy,
the
Lion,
and
Toto,
telling
them
the
ladder
was
ready.
The
Scarecrow
climbed
up
first,
but
he
was
so
awkward
that
Dorothy
had
to
follow
closely
to
keep
him
from
falling.
When
he
got
his
head
over
the
wall,
the
Scarecrow
said,
“Oh,
my!”
“Go
on,”
exclaimed
Dorothy.
