El Maravilloso Mago de Oz
Capítulo 3, Página 3
Toward
evening,
Dorothy
was
tired
from
her
long
walk
and
wondered
where
she
would
spend
the
night.
She
came
to
a
house
larger
than
the
others.
On
the
green
lawn
in
front,
many
men
and
women
were
dancing.
Five
little
fiddlers
played
loudly,
and
people
laughed
and
sang.
A
big
table
nearby
was
loaded
with
delicious
fruits,
nuts,
pies,
cakes,
and
many
other
good
things
to
eat.
The
people
greeted
Dorothy
kindly
and
invited
her
to
supper
and
to
spend
the
night
with
them.
This
was
the
home
of
one
of
the
richest
Munchkins,
and
his
friends
were
celebrating
their
freedom
from
the
Wicked
Witch.
Dorothy
ate
a
hearty
supper,
served
by
the
rich
Munchkin
himself,
whose
name
was
Boq.
Then
she
sat
on
a
settee
and
watched
the
people
dance.
When
Boq
saw
her
silver
shoes,
he
said,
“You
must
be
a
great
sorceress.”
“Why?”
asked
Dorothy.
“Because
you
wear
silver
shoes
and
killed
the
Wicked
Witch.
Also,
you
have
white
in
your
dress,
and
only
witches
and
sorceresses
wear
white.”
