El Maravilloso Mago de Oz
Capítulo 6, Página 1
Dorothy
and
her
friends
were
walking
through
the
thick
forest.
The
road
was
still
yellow
brick,
but
it
was
covered
with
dry
branches
and
leaves,
making
it
hard
to
walk.
There
weren't
many
birds
in
this
part
of
the
forest
because
they
prefer
open
spaces
with
lots
of
sunshine.
Sometimes,
they
heard
a
deep
growl
from
a
wild
animal
hiding
in
the
trees.
These
sounds
made
Dorothy's
heart
beat
fast
because
she
didn't
know
what
they
were.
But
Toto
knew,
and
he
stayed
close
to
Dorothy
without
barking.
"How
long
will
it
be,"
Dorothy
asked
the
Tin
Woodman,
"before
we
are
out
of
the
forest?"
"I
can't
tell,"
he
replied,
"because
I've
never
been
to
the
Emerald
City.
My
father
went
there
once
when
I
was
a
boy.
He
said
it
was
a
long
journey
through
a
dangerous
land,
but
nearer
to
the
city,
where
Oz
lives,
the
country
is
beautiful.
I'm
not
afraid
as
long
as
I
have
my
oil-can,
and
nothing
can
hurt
the
Scarecrow.
You
have
the
Good
Witch's
kiss
on
your
forehead,
and
that
will
protect
you."
"But
Toto!"
said
Dorothy
anxiously.
"What
will
protect
him?"
"We
must
protect
him
ourselves
if
he's
in
danger,"
replied
the
Tin
Woodman.
