Dorothy
hopelessly.
“I
have
no
idea,”
said
the
Tin
Woodman,
and
the
Lion
shook
his
shaggy
mane
and
looked
thoughtful.
But
the
Scarecrow
said,
“We
can’t
fly,
that’s
for
sure.
We
also
can’t
climb
down
into
this
big
ditch.
So,
if
we
can’t
jump
over
it,
we
must
stay
here.”
“I
think
I
could
jump
over
it,”
said
the
Cowardly
Lion
after
thinking
about
the
distance
carefully.
“Then
we’re
fine,”
said
the
Scarecrow,
“because
you
can
carry
us
all
over
on
your
back,
one
at
a
time.”
“Okay,
I’ll
try
it,”
said
the
Lion.
“Who
will
go
first?”
