El Maravilloso Mago de Oz
Capítulo 8, Página 2
“And
I
won't
get
a
heart,”
said
the
Tin
Woodman.
“And
I
will
never
get
back
to
Kansas,”
said
Dorothy.
“We
must
reach
the
Emerald
City
if
we
can,”
the
Scarecrow
said.
He
pushed
hard
on
his
pole,
but
it
got
stuck
in
the
mud
at
the
river's
bottom.
Before
he
could
pull
it
out
or
let
go,
the
raft
was
swept
away,
leaving
the
poor
Scarecrow
clinging
to
the
pole
in
the
middle
of
the
river.
“Good-bye!”
he
called
after
them.
They
felt
very
sorry
to
leave
him.
The
Tin
Woodman
even
started
to
cry
but
remembered
he
might
rust,
so
he
dried
his
tears
on
Dorothy’s
apron.
This
was,
of
course,
a
bad
situation
for
the
Scarecrow.
“I
am
worse
off
than
when
I
first
met
Dorothy,”
he
thought.
“Then,
I
was
stuck
on
a
pole
in
a
cornfield,
pretending
to
scare
crows.
But
there
is
no
use
for
a
Scarecrow
stuck
on
a
pole
in
the
middle
of
a
river.
I
am
afraid
I
will
never
have
any
brains!”
