Las aventuras de Sherlock Holmes
The Adventure of the Beryl Coronet
Capítulo 11, Página 22
I
had
just
finished
my
tea
when
he
returned,
clearly
in
high
spirits,
swinging
an
old
boot
in
his
hand.
He
tossed
it
in
a
corner
and
poured
himself
a
cup
of
tea.
"I
just
stopped
by
as
I
passed,"
he
said.
"I'm
going
right
on."
"Where
to?"
"Oh,
to
the
other
side
of
the
West
End.
It
might
be
a
while
before
I
get
back.
Don't
wait
up
for
me
if
I'm
late."
"How
is
it
going?"
"Oh,
so-so.
Nothing
to
complain
about.
I've
been
out
to
Streatham
since
I
last
saw
you,
but
I
didn't
visit
the
house.
It's
a
lovely
little
problem,
and
I
wouldn't
have
missed
it
for
a
lot.
However,
I
mustn't
sit
here
chatting;
I
need
to
change
out
of
these
shabby
clothes
and
return
to
my
respectable
self."
I
could
tell
from
his
manner
that
he
had
more
reasons
to
be
pleased
than
his
words
showed.
His
eyes
twinkled,
and
there
was
even
a
hint
of
color
in
his
usually
pale
cheeks.
He
hurried
upstairs,
and
a
few
minutes
later,
I
heard
the
door
slam,
telling
me
he
was
off
again
on
his
exciting
hunt.
I
waited
until
midnight,
but
he
didn't
return,
so
I
went
to
bed.
It
wasn't
unusual
for
him
to
be
away
for
days
when
he
was
following
a
lead,
so
I
wasn't
surprised.
I
don't
know
when
he
came
in,
but
when
I
came
down
for
breakfast,
there
he
was,
with
a
cup
of
coffee
in
one
hand
and
the
paper
in
the
other,
looking
as
fresh
and
neat
as
ever.
