Las aventuras de Sherlock Holmes
The Man with the Twisted Lip
Capítulo 6, Página 21
"Certainly."
"Then
get
dressed.
No
one
is
up
yet,
but
I
know
where
the
stable-boy
sleeps,
and
we'll
have
the
trap
ready
soon."
He
chuckled,
his
eyes
twinkling,
looking
different
from
the
serious
thinker
of
the
night
before.
As
I
dressed,
I
looked
at
my
watch.
No
wonder
no
one
was
up.
It
was
twenty-five
minutes
past
four.
I
had
just
finished
when
Holmes
returned,
saying
the
boy
was
getting
the
horse
ready.
"I
want
to
test
a
theory,"
he
said,
putting
on
his
boots.
"I
think,
Watson,
you
are
with
one
of
the
biggest
fools
in
Europe.
I
deserve
a
kick
from
here
to
Charing
Cross.
But
I
think
I
have
the
key
to
the
case
now."
"And
where
is
it?"
I
asked,
smiling.
"In
the
bathroom,"
he
replied.
"Oh,
I'm
not
joking,"
he
continued,
seeing
my
disbelief.
"I
just
went
there,
took
it
out,
and
have
it
in
this
bag.
Come
on,
and
we'll
see
if
it
fits
the
lock."
We
went
downstairs
quietly
and
out
into
the
bright
morning.
Our
horse
and
trap
were
ready,
with
the
half-dressed
stable-boy
waiting.
We
both
jumped
in
and
sped
down
the
London
Road.
A
few
carts
were
carrying
vegetables
to
the
city,
but
the
rows
of
houses
were
as
silent
as
a
city
in
a
dream.
"It's
been
a
strange
case,"
said
Holmes,
urging
the
horse
to
gallop.
"I
admit
I've
been
as
blind
as
a
mole,
but
it's
better
to
learn
late
than
never."
