Las aventuras de Sherlock Holmes
The Adventure of the Speckled Band
Capítulo 8, Página 29
"It's
an
interesting
household,"
he
murmured.
"That
was
the
baboon."
I
had
forgotten
about
the
Doctor's
unusual
pets.
There
was
a
cheetah
too;
we
might
find
it
on
our
shoulders
at
any
moment.
I
felt
more
at
ease
when,
after
following
Holmes'
lead
and
removing
my
shoes,
I
found
myself
inside
the
bedroom.
My
companion
quietly
closed
the
shutters,
moved
the
lamp
onto
the
table,
and
looked
around
the
room.
Everything
was
as
we
had
seen
it
during
the
day.
Then,
creeping
up
to
me
and
cupping
his
hand,
he
whispered
so
softly
that
I
could
barely
hear
the
words:
"The
slightest
sound
would
ruin
our
plans."
I
nodded
to
show
I
understood.
"We
must
sit
without
light.
He
would
see
it
through
the
ventilator."
I
nodded
again.
"Don't
fall
asleep;
your
life
could
depend
on
it.
Keep
your
pistol
ready
in
case
we
need
it.
I'll
sit
on
the
bed,
and
you
in
that
chair."
I
took
out
my
revolver
and
placed
it
on
the
corner
of
the
table.
