Las aventuras de Tom Sawyer
Capítulo 21, Página 4
The
teacher
was
in
a
good
mood.
He
moved
his
chair
and
turned
his
back
to
the
audience.
He
started
to
draw
a
map
of
America
on
the
board
for
the
geography
class.
But
his
hand
was
not
steady,
and
people
started
to
giggle.
He
knew
why
and
tried
to
fix
it.
He
erased
and
redrew
the
lines,
but
it
got
worse.
The
giggles
grew
louder.
He
focused
hard
on
his
work,
not
wanting
to
give
up.
He
felt
everyone
was
watching
him.
He
thought
he
was
doing
well,
but
the
giggles
continued
and
got
louder.
Above
him,
in
the
attic,
there
was
a
hole.
A
cat
came
down
through
it,
tied
by
a
string.
A
rag
covered
her
head
so
she
could
not
meow.
She
clawed
at
the
string
and
swung
in
the
air.
The
giggles
got
louder.
The
cat
was
very
close
to
the
teacher's
head.
Then
she
grabbed
his
wig
with
her
claws
and
was
pulled
back
up
into
the
attic
with
the
wig!
The
teacher's
bald
head
shone
brightly
because
a
boy
had
painted
it
gold!
That
ended
the
meeting.
The
boys
got
their
fun.
Vacation
started.

NOTE:—The
"compositions"
in
this
chapter
are
from
a
book
called
"Prose
and
Poetry,
by
a
Western
Lady."
They
are
real
and
just
like
schoolgirl
writings,
making
them
better
than
copies.
