Las aventuras de Tom Sawyer
Capítulo 7, Página 10
More
sobs.
Tom
took
out
his
best
treasure,
a
brass
knob
from
an
andiron,
and
showed
it
to
her,
saying:
"Please,
Becky,
won't
you
take
it?"
She
knocked
it
to
the
floor.
Then
Tom
walked
out
of
the
house,
over
the
hills,
and
did
not
return
to
school
that
day.
Soon
Becky
got
worried.
She
ran
to
the
door;
he
was
not
there.
She
ran
to
the
play-yard;
he
was
not
there
either.
Then
she
called:
"Tom!
Come
back,
Tom!"
She
listened
closely,
but
there
was
no
answer.
She
was
alone
with
silence
and
loneliness.
So
she
sat
down
to
cry
again
and
blamed
herself.
By
this
time,
the
other
students
started
to
return,
and
she
had
to
hide
her
sadness
and
calm
her
broken
heart.
She
faced
a
long,
sad
afternoon,
with
no
friends
to
share
her
feelings
with.
