Las aventuras de Tom Sawyer
Capítulo 1, Página 14
"Say
'enough!'"—and
Tom
kept
hitting.
Finally,
the
boy
managed
to
say,
"Enough!"
and
Tom
let
him
go
and
said:
"That'll
teach
you.
Be
careful
who
you
mess
with
next
time."
The
new
boy
walked
away,
brushing
off
dust,
crying
and
looking
back,
threatening
what
he'd
do
to
Tom
next
time.
Tom
jeered
at
him
and
walked
off
proudly.
As
soon
as
Tom's
back
was
turned,
the
boy
threw
a
stone,
hitting
Tom's
shoulder,
then
ran
away.
Tom
chased
him
home,
finding
out
where
he
lived.
He
waited
at
the
gate,
daring
the
boy
to
come
out,
but
the
boy
just
made
faces
through
the
window.
Finally,
the
boy's
mother
appeared
and
called
Tom
a
bad
child,
telling
him
to
leave.
So
he
did,
but
he
planned
to
get
back
at
the
boy.
Tom
got
home
late
that
night.
When
he
sneaked
in
through
the
window,
his
aunt
was
waiting.
Seeing
the
state
of
his
clothes,
she
decided
he
would
spend
Saturday
doing
chores
as
punishment.
