Las aventuras de Tom Sawyer
Capítulo 30, Página 1
As
the
first
light
of
dawn
appeared
on
Sunday
morning,
Huck
came
up
the
hill
and
knocked
gently
at
the
old
Welshman’s
door.
The
people
inside
were
asleep,
but
they
were
ready
to
wake
up
quickly
because
of
the
exciting
events
of
the
night.
A
voice
came
from
a
window:
“Who’s
there?”
Huck's
frightened
voice
answered
quietly:
“Please
let
me
in!
It’s
only
Huck
Finn!”
“That
name
can
open
this
door
anytime,
lad!—and
welcome!”
These
words
were
strange
to
Huck,
and
the
nicest
he
had
ever
heard.
He
couldn’t
remember
anyone
saying
“welcome”
to
him
before.
The
door
was
quickly
unlocked,
and
he
went
in.
Huck
was
given
a
seat,
and
the
old
man
and
his
two
tall
sons
got
dressed
quickly.
“Now,
my
boy,
I
hope
you’re
hungry,
because
breakfast
will
be
ready
when
the
sun’s
up,
and
it’ll
be
hot—don’t
worry
about
that!
We
hoped
you’d
come
and
stay
here
last
night.”
“I
was
really
scared,”
said
Huck,
“and
I
ran
away.
I
took
off
when
the
pistols
went
off,
and
I
didn’t
stop
for
three
miles.
I’ve
come
now
because
I
wanted
to
know
what
happened,
you
know;
and
I
came
before
daylight
because
I
didn’t
want
to
meet
those
devils,
even
if
they
were
dead.”
