El Gran Gatsby
Capítulo 1, Página 4
Tom
had
changed
since
college.
Now
he
was
thirty,
strong,
with
a
hard
mouth.
His
eyes
looked
proud
and
made
him
seem
aggressive.
His
riding
clothes
couldn’t
hide
his
strong
body.
He
looked
powerful,
like
he
could
do
anything.
His
voice
was
rough
and
added
to
his
strong
look.
He
sounded
like
he
thought
he
was
better
than
others.
Some
men
at
New
Haven
didn’t
like
him.
“Don’t
think
my
opinion
is
final,”
he
seemed
to
say.
“Just
because
I’m
stronger
doesn’t
mean
I’m
right.”
We
were
in
the
same
group
at
college.
He
liked
me
and
wanted
me
to
like
him
too.
We
talked
for
a
few
minutes
on
the
sunny
porch.
“I’ve
got
a
nice
place
here,”
he
said,
looking
around.
He
turned
me
around,
showing
the
garden,
roses,
and
a
boat.
