El Maravilloso Mago de Oz
Capítulo 3, Página 2
She
took
off
her
old
shoes
and
tried
the
silver
ones.
They
fit
her
perfectly.
Finally,
she
picked
up
her
basket.
“Come
on,
Toto,”
she
said.
“We
will
go
to
the
Emerald
City.
We
will
ask
the
Great
Oz
how
to
get
back
to
Kansas.”
She
closed
the
door,
locked
it,
and
put
the
key
in
her
pocket.
With
Toto
following
her,
she
started
her
journey.
There
were
many
roads
nearby.
It
did
not
take
long
to
find
the
yellow
brick
road.
Soon
she
walked
toward
the
Emerald
City.
Her
silver
shoes
made
a
happy
sound
on
the
road.
The
sun
shone
bright
and
birds
sang
sweetly.
Dorothy
did
not
feel
as
bad
as
you
might
think.
A
little
girl
taken
from
her
home
might
feel
sad,
but
she
was
not.
As
she
walked,
she
saw
how
pretty
the
country
was.
There
were
neat
fences
painted
blue.
Beyond
them
were
fields
of
grain
and
vegetables.
The
Munchkins
were
good
farmers.
Sometimes
she
passed
a
house.
People
came
out
to
see
her
and
bowed
low.
They
knew
she
had
freed
them
from
the
Wicked
Witch.
The
Munchkin
houses
were
round
with
big
domes.
All
were
painted
blue
because
it
was
their
favorite
color.
