El Maravilloso Mago de Oz
Capítulo 7, Página 7
This
adventure
made
the
travelers
more
eager
to
leave
the
forest.
They
walked
so
fast
that
Dorothy
became
tired
and
rode
on
the
Lion’s
back.
To
their
joy,
the
trees
became
fewer
as
they
moved
forward.
In
the
afternoon,
they
reached
a
wide
river
flowing
quickly
in
front
of
them.
On
the
other
side,
they
saw
the
yellow
brick
road.
It
ran
through
a
beautiful
land
with
green
fields
and
bright
flowers.
Trees
with
delicious
fruits
lined
the
road.
They
were
very
happy
to
see
this
lovely
place.
“How
can
we
cross
the
river?”
asked
Dorothy.
“That
is
easy,”
said
the
Scarecrow.
“The
Tin
Woodman
can
build
us
a
raft,
and
we
can
float
to
the
other
side.”
The
Woodman
took
his
axe
and
started
cutting
down
small
trees
to
make
a
raft.
While
he
worked,
the
Scarecrow
found
a
tree
full
of
nice
fruit
by
the
river.
Dorothy
was
pleased
because
she
had
only
eaten
nuts
all
day.
She
ate
a
good
meal
of
the
ripe
fruit.
But
making
a
raft
takes
time,
even
for
the
hard-working
Tin
Woodman.
When
night
came,
the
raft
was
not
ready.
They
found
a
cozy
place
under
the
trees
and
slept
well
until
morning.
Dorothy
dreamed
of
the
Emerald
City
and
the
good
Wizard
Oz,
who
would
soon
send
her
back
home.
